Cruising through Colorado? Keep your eyes on the road—and the wild side! This summer, watch for deer, elk, and our bold new ‘Born To Be Wild’ billboards popping up along some of the state’s busiest roadways. They’re wild, they’re proud, and they’re sporting the coolest license plate around!
Outfront Media partnered with the Rocky Mountain Wolf Project to develop an intriguing ‘Coexistence through Collaboration’ billboard campaign (see images, below), partially funded by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s (CPW) Born to be Wild License Plate Grant Program. Through a competitive application process, the grant program distributes a small portion of the revenue from the Born to be Wild specialty license plate to partners in the state who will actively market the plate to boost revenues for CPW. The revenues from the plate go directly to CPW to fund non-lethal conflict prevention and mitigation tools and strategies.
The Rocky Mountain Wolf Project’s digital and vinyl billboards will blanket parts of the Centennial State through mid-September, featuring the message ‘Support Ranching AND Wolves.’ This tagline highlights the important role the plate revenues play in conflict reduction and securing a future where wolf communities can thrive on shared landscapes. The specialty license plate has raised over $850,000 for CPW, providing primary funding for the state’s range riding program. Don’t forget to grab your plate today!
